There is almost no difference between cat meat and beef once they are cooked. So, does cat meat look like beef? The answer could be yes because cat meat is a kind of red meat. Beef, pork and cat meat that are sold in the same butcher might be difficult to recognize especially if they have been well cut. So, in case you are worried about buying cat meat instead of beef, then you need to check the forearms if there any. Cats' forearms are shorter than beef of course, but if you compare it with rabbit, then they have the longer ones. 


What if the cat meat has been cooked and well seasoned? It will become more difficult to tell what does cat meat look like once it is cooked because there are many kinds of red meat around you. The taste is also almost similar to pork so that you might not be able to recognize whether you are eating pork or cat meat. However, if you notice there will be a bit of sour after tasting the meat while this might not be really obvious depending on what seasonings are used in the food.

This is because there is no reasons for restaurants to substitute chicken with cat or beef with cat considering that the price might be almost the same. Also, they would not say the name of cat meat directly in the food unless they want the restaurants to be closed. So, feel relieved about this that you do not live in China and Peru. You just need to be more careful when you are visiting them and pay more attention to the foods that you will eat because what does cat meat look like is not easy to recognize.
